Merry Christmas, Nation!

I wanted to take a minute to post something this morning, wishing each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas. From all of us here at Oilersnation, I hope all of you have a wonderful day with your family, friends, or whoever else gets the privilege of your time today.
No matter what you’re doing on this wonderful Christmas morning, I hope that all of you are spending the day doing whatever it is that makes you happy. Whether you’re hanging out with or avoiding your family, playing with Santa’s treasures that he left for you under the tree, or burning through bottles of Baileys and coffee like I am, I wanted to jump on the site to quickly wish everybody a very Merry Christmas. Needless to say, it’s been another wild start to the season complete with all kinds of ups and downs, and the rollercoaster ride of being an Oilers fan wouldn’t be nearly as fun or tolerable without all of you guys along for the ride. Sure, we may argue relentlessly at times and find ourselves scratching our heads due to the odd opinions of complete Internet strangers, but no matter what, we’re all in this thing together and that’s a reason to grateful. To put it another way, you fine citizens are the straw that stirs the drink around here and I wanted to make sure to recognize it this morning.
Now, if you’ll excuse me I’m going to make a fresh pot of coffee, kill the rest of this Baileys, and go watch Die Hard, which is, of course, a Christmas movie. Have a wonderful day off, Nation! I hope that everyone is enjoying the break from real life and that your day off is spent exactly as you want it to — we’ll see all of you back here for the start of the World Juniors tournament tomorrow. Merry Christmas, everybody!
