For the second time in a matter of weeks, the Edmonton Oilers have recalled Ty Rattie from the Bakersfield Condors.
In the two games he played with the Oilers during his last recall, Ty Rattie didn’t get much done with the big club as he didn’t get a point or even a shot on goal, and was often unnoticeable. Averaging just over 12 minutes over the course of two games, Rattie managed only five steals and was not much of a threat to score. In 37 NHL games, Rattie has collected 10 points (4G, 6A) with the Blues, Hurricanes, and now the Edmonton Oilers.
In 53 games played with the Condors, Rattie has put up 43 points (21G, 22A) which leads the teams in scoring. With both the Condors and Oilers missing the playoffs this season, it makes sense to see what they have in Rattie as he will look to make a case to not only stick with the big club but to also earn another contract. Will this run with the Oilers be any different than the last? We shall see.
Rattie signed a one-year contract with the Oilers on July 1st.
