The Bets of the Day is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the day. All bets are for one unit unless otherwise noted.
Our first bet of will be taking Dougie Hamilton to take over 3.5 shots on goal. This line sits at -134.
Hamilton is second on the Devils in shots on goal this year firing 54 in 14 games, an average of 3.85. As a defenceman, he’s always had tons of offensive upsde and this year is no different.
While he’s hit this prop in seven out of 14 games this year, it’s cashed in three of his last five games. He has another great spot to cash again today against an Arizona Coyotes team who allows 35.67 shots per hour, the 2nd worst rate in the league.

Our second bet will be taking Jonathan Toews to take over 2.5 shots on goal. This line sits at +115.
Toews and his Chicago Blackhawks are far from a contending team, but I like his ability to contend on this shot prop. He’s taken 29 shots on goal in 13 games this year, an average of 2.23 per game. This prop has cashed for him in six of 13 games and two of his last five.
But tonight, the Blackhawks have a great matchup against one of the worst defensive teams in the league: the Anaheim Ducks. They give up a staggering 39.57 shots per hour, the worst rate in the league by over four shots.
Our third bit of action will be taking Mat Barzal to take over 2.5 shots on goal. This line sits at -105

Barzal comes into this game against the Columbus Blue Jackets taking 40 shots in 15 games averaging 2.6 per game. He’s hit this prop in seven of 15 games this season and in his last five, he’s cashed it twice.
Tonight, the Islanders have a great matchup against a Blue Jackets team who has been decimated by injuries. In recent days, they’ve lost three defencemen to significant injures: Adam Boqvist, Zach Werenski and Nick Blankenburg.
Columbus already gives up 35.23 shots per hour, but that could quickly climb.
Record: 35-23 (+10.33u)
