The Edmonton Oilers are back on the home ice for the first time since returning from the NHL All Star break.
First came a 3-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, ending their franchise record 16 game win streak, which was then followed by an up and down weekend in California. On Friday night, Edmonton did come away with a 5-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks; however, they trailed three times in that game and it wasn’t until the third period that they came alive. Then on Saturday, it was an extremely flat effort offensively from the Copper and Blue resulting in 4-0 spanking from the Los Angeles Kings.
Tonight, it’s the Detroit Red Wings who in town, which also means the return of Klim Kostin. The Red Wings are coming off an impressive 4-3 overtime versus the Vancouver Canucks. To get you prepared for the game, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live for Oilersnation Everyday over on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. Along with Tyler and Liam, Jay Downton is around for a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show edition of the show. If you have something you’d like to contribute to the show, leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centre YouTube live chat.
Later in the show, Steven Ellis from Daily Faceoff joins Tyler, Liam and Jay. With Steven, the four of them will discuss the Oilers prospect pool along with the latest news surrounding the CHL and NCAA merger.
Viewers can catch Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin on Oilersnation Everyday on the Oilersnation YouTube Channel. You can also view the show on Twitter and Facebook. After the show has streamed live, you can find it on all your podcast providers.
