A week after a disappointing Game 7 loss, fans of the Edmonton Oilers were back to celebrating after a successful opening day of NHL free agency. Jeff Jackson, the interim general manager, went all in recruiting Viktor Arvidsson, Jeff Skinner and Josh Brown to the Oilers. Meanwhile, he also re-signed Mattias Janmark, Adam Henrique and Connor Brown making the forward group look dangerous heading into next season.
Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live for Oilersnation Everyday at noon to discuss everything that went down following the show yesterday. Want your thoughts on the show? Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Greta Bar YouTube live chat. Throughout the show, Tyler and Liam will bring your comments up on the show so they strongly encourage you to interact with them and the other Nation Citizens in the chat.
Later in the program, they’ll discuss the new NHL schedule that was released today. The Oilers open up the season with a four game home stand with the Winnipeg Jets the first team to visit Rogers Place. They’ll take on the Calgary Flames three times with two of the head-to-heads hosted in Edmonton.
To close out the show, Tyler and Liam will go around the NHL. They’ll take a look at what other teams did after they went off air yesterday, as well as who is left on the free agent market.
