We are edging closer to the start of the regular season with the Oilers back on the camp for the 2025 training camp. Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live at noon today for Oilersnation Everyday to discuss everything coming from the camp. You can get your thoughts on the show by leaving your comments in the Greta Bar YEG YouTube live chat throughout the program. The guys strongly encourage that you interact with them and the other Nation Citizens in the live chat.
First up, we’re breaking down key quotes from the opening days of Edmonton Oilers training camp. From player updates to insights from coaches, we’re getting you up to speed on everything happening on the ice.
Then in “What’s Trending”, there’s plenty of buzz around the NHL and beyond! We’ll talk about Oilers’ coach Jay Woodcroft receiving an unexpected invite to the Philadelphia Flyers’ camp, and GM Ken Holland heading to Columbus’ camp. Plus, we’ll laugh about James Duthie’s fun reply to a tweet that had social media buzzing.
Reports also started to swirl around the other day about possible expansion in the NHL. Is that a good idea or should the NHL focus on other projects? Tyler and Liam will discuss it on the today’s show and where they could possible land if the league expand.
Switching gears, we’ll take a look at the NFL’s Thursday Night Football game—one of the most lackluster matchups we’ve seen. Was it as boring as everyone says? We’ll vent our thoughts.
Finally, we touch on one of the biggest stories in baseball. Shohei Ohtani is making history yet again, setting new records and redefining what it means to be a superstar in the MLB.
