Seeing as the Oilers had some very real struggles against the Golden Knights on Wednesday, it&#8217;s fair to wonder if Knoblauch should try a different look or two with his defensive units. Frankly speaking, the coaching staff should be trying something because what&#8217;s happening right now is clearly not working.
Changing gears, we looked at the new line combos the Oilers iced at practice. Mattias Janmark is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury, which means there could be a path for a player like Noah Philp to rejoin the big club after spending the week with the Condors. We also touched on Matthew Savoie blocking a shot down in Calgary and how the fear of having him out has seemingly been squashed since he ended up in the lineup the next night.
