We kicked off the Tuesday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about how the NHL can get people more excited about the 4 Nations Face-Off. After cruising around social media, Baggedmilk got the sense that not everyone is dialled into the idea of the tournament taking over the next two weeks. As a result, the fellas came up with whatever ideas they could to try and raise the hype surrounding this one-off tourney.

Turning the podcast back to the Oilers, we walked through Edmonton’s loss to the Avalanche on Friday night and how it was a frustrating loss to see them go down the way they did. Starting with another tough night for Stuart Skinner, the Oilers had essentially lost that game before it even started after a string of costly errors put them in a hole in the first period. That had the boys wondering if Skinner’s struggles have amplified the Oilers’ need to acquire a goaltender, which led to Liam wondering where the John Gibson noise keeps coming from.

Looking at some positive Oilers news, we talked about the incredible season Leon Draisaitl is having and how he seems to be getting better with each passing game. Even though some folks out east don’t seem to appreciate his brilliance, watching him hit new levels and raise his game the way he has is a real treat to watch. Finally, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode with a round of rumour talk before getting into some betting talk for the 4 Nations tournament.
