This is a big day. For years we’ve been clamouring for changes in the Oilers management team and now they are finally happening. I doubt this is the last shoe to drop but, in the very least, this is the start of a very interesting transition for this franchise.

MY TAKE…
For years fans have been looking for change in management, and it happened today. What does that mean for the future of the Oilers? We can’t be sure yet, but it’s an interesting transition from a regime that has been around for years. Will some of the core be shipped out? What kind of personnel changes can we expect? What happens to MacT? According to Bob Nicholson he is still with the organization but who knows for how long?
I’m not sure any of this has even soaked in for me yet. All I know for sure is that this is a new day for an Oilers franchise that has been spinning its tires for a long time.
More to come…
