<p>The veteran defender hobbled down the tunnel to the Stars&#8217; dressing room and did not reappear on the bench after the second intermission. After being labelled &#8220;questionable to return,&#8221; Tanev did not play in the third period.</p>
<p>Stars head coach Peter DeBoer did not provide a specific update on Tanev&#8217;s condition after the game, saying he was keeping his fingers crossed that he&#8217;d be available for Game 5 in Dallas on Friday.</p>

<p>Tanev has appeared in all 17 games for the Stars in these playoffs thus far, collecting one assist and averaging 22:33 of ice time. He racked up two goals and 19 points in 75 games during the 2023-24 regular season.</p>
