<p>Well, that could&#8217;ve gone about as poorly as possible.</p>
<p>On a Saturday afternoon where the Oilers desperately needed a strong response after squandering a late lead two nights early, they showed up flat.</p>
<p>The number of players who actually played a good game was few and far between and Jack Campbell, who allowed six goals on 36 shots, had no run support.</p>
<p>Jamie Benn, meanwhile, got things done firing home three goals — two on the powerplay and one at even-strength — as he helped pace the Stars in their win. The Oilers had no answer for him, or the Stars&#8217; top line of Jason Robertson, Roope Hintz, and Joe Pavelski.</p>
<p>The Oilers will now embark on a tough four-game road trip. They visit the Washington Capitals Monday night, Tampa Bay Lightning Tuesday night, Carolina Hurricanes Thursday night and the Florida Panthers Saturday afternoon. Edmonton will need a strong response on what will be a tough four-game swing for the Oilers after a brutal effort against Dallas.</p>
