Good news, friends! Frank Seravalli just tweeted out the playoff schedule for the first couple games of the first round and I could not be more excited to see the Edmonton Oilers get going.
I don’t know about you guys but this last chunk of the NHL regular season has really dragged along as we wait for the Oilers to kick off their playoff run. Ever since Clinchmas happened a while back, the only thing I can think about is speeding through the last handful of games and finally getting into the postseason. The good news is that we’re all one step closer to the big dance kicking off as we now know that our playoffs will begin next Wednesday.
- Game 1: Wednesday, May 19th at 7 pm MT on Sportsnet and CBC
- Game 2: Friday, May 21st at 7 pm MT on Sportsnet and CBC
- Game 3: TBD
- Game 4: TBD
I’m not going to lie, I still think it’s pretty hilarious that the NHL playoffs will be kicking off on Saturday while the Flames and Canucks will still be finishing off their meaningless schedule in the background. I mean, will we ever see something this strange again? Regardless of how funny their walk of shame may be to me, the important thing here is that we’re slowly inching towards more meaningful games in May and I could not be more jacked up to get started.
Six more sleeps, Nation. We’re almost there.
