The Oilers will be gunning for their fourth straight win tonight when they host the Buffalo Sabres. It’s been a strong homestand for the team and their string of wins combined with the sudden collapse of the Vegas Golden Knights suddenly has the Oilers in control of their own destiny when it comes to the Pacific Division playoff race. Not only is a playoff appearance looking more and more likely, but home ice advantage in the first round appears to be within reach. For that to happen, the Oilers will have to keep winning games against weak opponents and tonight is a game that they should absolutely take. The Sabres are 4-2-0 in their last six games but they’re nowhere near a playoff team and have been wildly inconsistent this season. They managed to squeak out a victory against Detroit earlier this week but they’ll need to be better if they want to beat the Sabres tonight. Caroline and I took a look at Tuesday’s win and previewed tonight’s matchup on the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show!
