Vancouver Canucks GM Jim Benning says the opening game of the season against the Edmonton Oilers will be going forward despite two Canucks players quarantining due to COVID-19 precautions.
J.T. Miller and Jordie Benn, who are living together in Vancouver, are both currently in quarantine in Vancouver. Benning spoke on Sportsnet 650 today confirming the news and that both players won’t be available against Edmonton.
I am told one of these two players tested positive for COVID, then negative, then positive again and when tested a fourth time tested negative. The other is a close contact. #bcpoli #Canucks

Edmonton opens the 2020-21 season tomorrow night with the Canucks paying a visit to Rogers Place with another game between the two on Thursday.
