And there it is.
In his 411th game, Connor McDavid has scored his 200th NHL goal.
It came in the second period against the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday when he, once again, put the team on his back. Dancing from the blue line down to the right faceoff circle, McDavid fired a quick wrist shot that beat Coyotes goaltender Karel Vejmelka.

The goal puts McDavid in some incredible company.
The goal puts McDavid in some incredible company.
Only three Edmonton Oilers have reached the 200 goal mark faster than McDavid: Glenn Anderson, who did it in 348 games, Jari Kurri who did it in 328, and Wayne Gretzky, who hit the mark in just his 242nd game.
Mark Messier isn’t far behind McDavid with the former Oilers captain hitting the mark in 442 games.
McDavid’s current teammate Leon Draisaitl scored his 200th goal just the other day doing so in his 481st game.
