It’s the middle of summer and it’s extremely hot outside. You know what that means? It’s time to talk about the Edmonton Oilers’ goal song. Earlier today, my pal Chris the Intern wrote on Glen Gulutzan and that, for whatever reason, sparked Nation Commenter Leichs to talk about the Oilers getting a new goal song.

Totally off topic here, but I see Carolina is doing a fan vote for their goal song for this year. I really wish the Oilers would do something like this for us as our goal songs over the past few years have been absolutely terrible. Last years song was seriously so bad.. Would love if we used the Eskimos td song for our goal song, always gets me fired uppp
I agree! The song they’re currently using is pretty bad. I think the la da da da thing going on is sorta catchy, but it doesn’t get you fired up at all. I mean, it’s an upgrade on Stadium Love, but it doesn’t get the people going.
The Carolina Hurricanes are doing a fan vote to pick their new goal song. They’ve narrowed it down to eight songs with one being a Techno Remix of the famous Hartford Whalers Brass Bonanza. That brings us to this week’s What Would You Do Wednesday FRIDAY EDITION question. What would you make Edmonton’s goal song?
How about a return to the good old Zombie Nation days?
Maybe if we’re time travelling we could find a way to bring back the legendary Pump It?
