The Young Stars tournament is back!
The long-standing prospects game featuring prospects from the @Calgary Flames, @Edmonton Oilers, @Winnipeg Jets, and @Vancouver Canucks.
Based in Penticton, B.C., the tournament will return to its old format with all four teams sending prospects to the game.
The Oilers and Flames had pulled out of the tournament in 2018 which left fans with the ability to just watch the Canucks and Jets prospects battle it out. Last year, the tournament didn’t happen at all citing a lack of NHL participants.
This year’s classic will feature all four clubs with the event running from Sept. 11 through Sept. 15 in a four-team, round-robin tournament. Tickets haven’t been announced for this years games, but we will be sure to provide an update when it comes.
Here’s a look at the initial schedule, subject to change.
Game 1 | Vancouver vs. Winnipeg | Sept. 11 | 7:00pm |
Game 2 | Calgary vs. Winnipeg | Sept. 12 | 4:00pm |
Game 3 | Vancouver vs. Edmonton | Sept. 12 | 7:30pm |
Game 4 | Edmonton vs. Calgary | Sept. 13 | 4:00pm |
Game 5 | Edmonton vs. Winnipeg | Sept. 15 | 4:00pm |
Game 6 | Vancouver vs. Calgary | Sept. 15 | 7:30pm |
