I admire your ability to push forward with good content in the face of yet another miserable season. I hope someday (soon) your weekend update for the end of February will be something like “Oilers in search of a 3rd pairing D to beef up their blue line for another run at Stanley”.

  • Seanaconda

Whats the deal with Klinkhammer who is averaging a point a game in the minors not getting called up. Fast, heavy on the body, point, shouldn’t he be showcased, there is move value there than with #28.

  • HardBoiledOil 1.0

Some nice d prospects in the whl. Unfortunate we had terrible drafting for about the last 15 years other than gimmes. Time to unload some of the sh!t puppets Chia Pete. That goal yest cause by ebs was unbelievable. Lazy, dumb, selfish. Pull the strings on the entitled sh!t puppets Chia Pete.

  • HardBoiledOil 1.0

Wonder if the sh!t puppets went to the bar after the game yest. Real sick of the entitled babies. I’m an oiler fan but I hope they lose every game until the end of the season to force change. Let the sweaters litter the ice like a sh!the storm

  • #1 overall waivers pick

Think you’ve had too many ultrathin zig zags and your brain is cluttered. Flames suck as do the Oilers. The entire province is one big sh!t storm right now. Make no mistake, the sh!t hawks are circling

  • HardBoiledOil 1.0

The flames have no hope of a cup anytime in the next 10 years. None. The oil have McDavid. Man I would have been so pissed if flames won that lotto!

  • #1 overall waivers pick

Oilers are AHL team. Every year people get excited over non NHL players. Nurse looks worse now than he did when he started in the NHL. Oilers are a joke.

Quite sad a real star like McDavid is going to under achieve because he plays for the Oilers.

“Maybe next year ” This is Lowetide’s theme give your head a shake this is a rotten organization with mostly bad players.

People get excited who can we draft what players are coming up from the AHL What trades can Oilers make. Bad organization has never proven otherwise.

    • Lowetide

This post is a weekly update. Edmonton does in fact have a real problem with depth and quality in the procurement department. This is a post to update, but I agree with your overall point.

  • Canoe Ride 27.1

Most of the Oilers are overrated, most teams play Oilers and know it’s an easy game they bring their B game. Players get more points than they should because the other team is not giving 100%. All the advanced stats won’t help. Only stat that is important is wins.

  • Lowetide

At last nights game and must agree with LT on Nurse . I feel he should finish the season in Bakersfield playing 25 minutes a night and getting taught the right way to play . If not this kid will be ruined . Saw him watching to much and his positional play when defending was Bad . Tons of potential but needs to learn the big boys game .

    • Canoe Ride 27.1

      Cut their losses with him.
No offense, no shot , no passing skill, not much of anything.
Trade him asap while their is still perceived value.
Oile!rs could have Roustalanen and bungked, more MacTavish.

  • justDOit

Verdad2 . He does have a shot and can make a pass but what I keep seeing is inexperience. I will say again he just needs time in the AhL, his making mistakes that can be fixed. The kid needs time that coaches can fix . Nurse is an asset that is young and time will fix his problems like many other D I could name but that time has to be in Bakersfield

Allan, I hope that you do not grow weary of writing this article…….because in my mind it highlights our talent stock better than anything out there!

By your descriptions I can get a sense of what we have drafted and how well those players are progressing…….ZP and EB come to mind as players that can compliment this team down the road.

Of the defenceman we have in the minors, who gives you the most hope?
