Another week is upon us and that means another masterful episode of the Real Life Podcast is here to help distract you from the rigours of your everyday life. This week, we get into some hockey talk with the Oilers Rookies facing off against the NAIT/MacEwan All-Stars at Rogers Place tonight, beer prices going up, space talk, and Wanye’s brushes with stardom.
With the NHL season just around the corner, the boys planned to talk a lot of hockey on this week’s podcast until, as you’d expect, things fell completely off the rails. To start things off, the guys intended to talk about the Oilers rookie game that’s happening tonight against the Ooks/Griffins All-Stars but, instead, got into what’s happening with the power supply at Nation HQ. After challenging Epcor to a power showdown, the boys got back to business with a discussion on the ticket prices for the Oilers Rookie game AND the fact that they’ve increased the price of beers at Rogers Place to $13.25 for 20 ounces. Is this fair?
From there, the conversation turned to antiques and whether or not the boys think that hanging onto stuff for decades is worth it or not. In another shift, the guys get into the Elon Musk interview that he did with Joe Rogan last week, and try to decide whether or not it would be annoying to be as smart as Musk, especially when he’s dealing with normal people. And since no Real Life Podcast is complete without a little bit of Oilers talk, the guys get into the Darnell Nurse contract dispute after Bob McKenzie mentioned on the Bobcast that negotiations were not going all that well. All in all, it was another jam-packed episode that is sure to keep you entertained.
