Oilers Prospect Update: One more for the Condors, CHL D on a tear

So, I made a mistake in the last few weeks. Not sure where I got the number 17 from for the longest AHL win streak, but the true longest win streak is 28 straight games by the Norfolk Admirals. The Condors currently sit at 16 wins in a row, with 18 games left to go in the season. To set the record they need only a measly 13 more straight wins. Here’s look at you, Condors!

The rest of the pipeline is having a great go of it this week. Samorukov and Bouchard both have 6 point weeks in the CHL and even Anton Slepyshev put together a solid go of it.

Just last night, Currie had the first goal of his NHL career:

With our season done and the AHL team rocking, anyone know when the SHL season ends? Would love to see Persson get some NA time in the AHL to see how far along he is.

Would like to know what the organization’s plans are for him

    • OriginalPouzar

The plan is for him to come over next season for camp.

There is an outside chance that he comes over after Vaxjo’s season is done but I doubt it. They don’t finish until Mid-March and, given Persson is on an NHL contract and on loan to Vaxjo, I don’t think he’ll be eligible for the AHL playoffs.

I’m very intrigued to see how he does at camp in the fall – would love to get a sneak peak but doubt it happens.

  • OriginalPouzar

You’ve got one game played for Bear but he didn’t play – missed the game last night with injury – again.

Samorukov is spiking huge – he had 3 assists yesterday, 5 shots on net and was PLUS 7!

  • Moneyball

The condors are going to have an even better team next year with a lot of chl guys moving over as well as some others. Looks like there might be a good nhl pipeline here.
