@Edmonton Oilers forward @Leon Draisaitl has been named the NHL’s first star of the month for February.
The superstar led the league in scoring during the month potting 10 goals and 13 assists in 14 games. He tailed points in 10 games including seven multi-point outings and four four-point games.
One saw him pot four assists against the @Calgary Flames on Feb. 1, and 10 days later he scored a goal and three assists against the @Chicago Blackhawks.
Draisaitl scored his 100th point last night, a goal against the @Winnipeg Jets, and became the fastest player (65 GP) to reach the 100 point mark for Edmonton since @Mark Messier hit his 100th point in the 62nd game of the 1989-90 season.
Messier went on to score 129 points that season.
Second star of the month was @New York Rangers C @Mike Zibanejad, who scored 11 goals and nine assists in 15 games.
@Boston Bruins RW @David Pastrnak was named the third star of the month scoring 19 points in 14 games.
