The Edmonton Oilers have been sued by a Dallas hotel over an alleged bounced check and a hotel stay, TSN’s Rick Westhead reported Monday.
According to Westhead’s report, the Oilers allegedly bounced a $28k check following a stay at a Dallas hotel in December. Westhead also reports the Oilers to owe another $27k for a stay in March.
The Oilers played against the Dallas Stars in Dallas on Dec. 16th, 2019 a game the team won 2-1, before travelling to St. Louis for a game there on the 18th.
Edmonton also played in Dallas on March 3rd, 2020 with another 2-1 win.
Edmonton Oilers senior vice president Tim Shipton provided a statement to Westhead saying “We have the same challenges as every business navigating through the … global pandemic.
