B) Unhappy that they helped Calgary clinch a playoff spot
Beating Vegas in regulation means the Oilers helped the Flames get into the playoffs. *spits*

#Flames clinched. But the Oilers at this time have a better momentum going into the playoffs. We have a few games to change that. Starting tonight.

If this is the Oilers team we get in the playoffs, I am not worried.

Oilers can clinch a playoff spot Wednesday night. Stop fucking around and sign Jay Woodcroft already.

Slight error on my part with this, thanks to those that pointed it out that I overlooked Vancouver.
Number is right now 5 points, because Van have a game in hand on Vegas and can leap frog them.
If Van loses tonight it goes to 4, if they win stays at 5.
Sincere apologies. https://t.co/57quG9xv2i

With the Golden Knights losing to the Devils tonight, the Oilers will almost certainly play the Kings in the first round of the playoffs. This is the best possible match-up for the Oilers.

Oilers fans can breathe a sigh of release. Vegas will not be making the playoffs this year. They, along with the Kings, have 5 games left and the Golden Knights are 3 points behind them. The #Oilers will be facing an LA Kings that are suffering from many injuries to their lineup.

I'm not worried about facing Vegas or Los Angeles in the playoffs. Oilers should be able to beat either of them.
— Douglas (@douglisss) April 16, 2022
Canucks facing the Oilers would be great because Pettersson could show the world he's better than McDavid in the playoffs.

It’s like “yay playoffs” but then you think about it more and realize hockey is almost over :/
