Does it get any better than the Oilers being up on the Flames 3-1 in the series and a brand new episode of Better Lait Than Never to go along with it? I don’t think so.
The mood around here feels just a little bit lighter today, doesn’t it? After coming up with a massive 5-3 win in Game 4 of their series against the Calgary, the Oilers have the Flames on the ropes with a chance to knock them out of the series and onto the teebox. That said, the boys are going to have to bring their A-game to the Saddledome if they’re hoping to finish it off tomorrow because you know damned well that the Flames are going to play with a bunch of urgency. That said, I’d also expect this to be another moment where McDavid and Draisaitl take their games to another level to try and lock in that fourth win. We saw what happened against LA in Game 7 when McDavid looked superhuman, and I wouldn’t bet against him doing it again, ya know? Not to mention, how great would it be to end the Flames’ series in their barn? It would be pure magic, my friends. Magic.
