In a tweet Sunday night, Ben&#8217;s father, Mike, shared an obituary for his late son that included information about a celebration of life that can be live streamed. The celebration takes place Friday morning at 11:30 a.m. MST.

&#8220;Ben was an absolute joy and the brightest light in this world,&#8221; his obituary read. &#8220;His love knew no bounds and his giggle and smile lit up the world. He was an absolute warrior during his fight and is a true hero.&#8221;
An outpouring of love and support has come the way of the Stelter family since Ben&#8217;s passing earlier in the week. Teams across the league and fans around the world have sent well wishes the way of Ben and his family.
&#8220;I&#8217;m always going to think about him after a win,&#8221; said Oilers captain Connor McDavid earlier in the week. &#8220;There&#8217;s that video of him saying &#8216;Play La Bamba, baby&#8217; I think that&#8217;s when I&#8217;m going to think about him.&#8221;
&#8220;It&#8217;s something I certainly won&#8217;t forget. He was an amazing little guy who lit up every single room he was in. He certainly lit up our room when he came in there. Obviously, a terrible day and we&#8217;re thinking about the entire Stelter family.&#8221;
Oilers head coach Jay Woodcroft called Ben a &#8220;bright light.&#8221;
&#8220;In my time over the last few months of getting to know Ben, I was greatly impressed with the courage of a young man who defined what a bright light was,&#8221; he said.
&#8220;Not only did he walk into our dressing room and our arena and light up our team, he lit up our fan base. As a father myself I get to see the impact that pro athletes have on children, but what I found really interesting about our time with Ben was the impact a child had on our team, organization, and city. I&#8217;m thankful to have gotten to know him. Our deepest sympathies and condolences to his family.&#8221;
