Baggedmilk on #theLOCKERROOM: Rookie Camp, Infinite Patience, and Connor McDavid
By baggedmilk
2 years agoHappy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off this week’s segment, we jumped in with a chat about Edmonton Oilers rookie camp that is taking place at Rogers Places, and whether there are any prospects that Oilers fans might be focusing on. While the rookie camp has lost the excitement factor we had in the H.O.P.E. days, there are still plenty of prospects to keep an eye on like Xavier Bourgault, Raphael Lavoie, and Ilya Konovalov. From there we looked at Infinite Patience. No, not the quality every Oilers fan has been forced to exercise over the past decade but rather Ryan Nugent-Hopkins’ horse that just picked up its first win on the circuit, which we were all hoping is a good omen for the upcoming season. Finally, we wrapped up this week’s appearance with a look at McDavid’s pre-season availability where he talked about the time to win being now. A lot of us wanted major changes to the team and that’s exactly what we got, but the question now becomes whether the players can come together and make something happen.
