Betway Bets of the Day — Backing Wyatt Johnston and Connor McDavid to put up points

Our first bet of the day is on Wyatt Johnston to score 1+ point, with odds at -143.
Wyatt Johnston has had a sparkling sophomore season with the Stars, racking up 32 goals and 65 points in 81 games. He’s cashed this prop in two of his last five games, and in just one of three against the St. Louis Blues, who his Dallas Stars face tonight. But on a night where the game is meaningless, besides needing one point to win the Western Conference, Johnston might see an uptick in his ice-time as the Stars even out the minutes. In fact, in his last five games, his average ice-time is up from his season average by a minute.
He’ll have ample opportunity score in an excellent matchup, so let’s back him to get on the board.
Our second bet of the day is on Connor McDavid to score 2+ points, with odds at -138.
It’s hard to overthink this one. McDavid has been having an incredible season, scoring 32 goals and 100 assists in 75 games this season. In his one game against the Arizona Coyotes this year, he posted two assists and has cashed this prop in eight of his last 10 games. The Oilers don’t have anything to play for tonight, so McDavid will likely play little in the second half of the game, but it likely won’t be hard for him to hit this mark before that.
