That defeat marked New Jersey’s first loss on a five-game road trip, and snapped the club’s brief two-game win streak.
The Devils have endured a disappointing start to the season, opening their schedule with six straight losses including a 4-3 shootout loss to Edmonton as -125 home favourites on October 10. However, New Jersey has shown signs of turning things around with four wins in its past eight outings. The Devils also dominated in their last trip to Edmonton, back in March, recording a 6-3 win as +265 underdogs to sweep the season series.
