Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
On Tuesday night, the Edmonton Oilers responded to two straight losses with the kind of performance we expect from them with a 6-1 demolition of the Nashville Predators. From the crease outward, the Oilers executed at a high level, got contributions from all four lines, and generally looked like a team that wasn’t about to let anyone stand in their way. Of course, having a one-off performance like that isn’t uncommon against a weaker team, and the real trick will be whether or not Edmonton can do it consistently. Against the Flyers, the Oilers will face another opponent that is not expected to do a whole lot this season, and I can’t help but think of a better opportunity to keep the ball rolling. That said, Philly also shut out the Canucks their last time out, and that tells me the Oilers had better be ready to play because there’s no such thing as a free lunch in this league.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’m using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Player Prop:

Leon Draisaitl anytime goal scorer at +100. My $5 bet would return $10.00.

Easy Money:

Over 1.5 total power play goals at -143. My $5 bet would return $8.50.

Risky Business:

Evan Bouchard to score at +300. My $5 bet would return $20.00.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Oilers moneyline and over 5.5 total goals at +105. My $5 bet would return $10.25.

Last Game

The only thing better than an Oilers win is coupling that win with a bunch of money hitting my bank account, and on Tuesday night, that’s precisely what happened. Frankly, that win was the result we all needed, and I hope the Oilers can keep the good vibes rolling tonight in Philly.
Here’s what I bet against the Predators:
  • Leon Draisaitl over 1.5 total points at +115. ✅
  • Oilers puck line (-1.5) at +155. ✅
  • Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +250. ✅
  • Oilers ML and over 5.5 total goals at +140. ✅
And there you have it, friends. Now you know what I’m betting on and how I did last game. As always, I put one unit down on each bet. Hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Flyers.
It’s also worth noting that betting lines move throughout the day, so that may be the reason why what’s listed above doesn’t match what’s on Betway when you put together your own bets.
