Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Are the Oilers actually back? The last time the boys teased us with a three-game win streak, the next trio of outings were all miserable losses, so I’m having difficulty figuring out how to feel just now. Am I cautiously optimistic? Should I keep my guard up in anticipation of getting hurt again? These are strange decisions at this stage of the season, you know? The last time the Oilers played the Jets, everything went pretty well until Stuart Skinner got caught in adventure land and gave up the tying goal in the third period, ultimately leading to an OT loss. It wasn’t our finest outing, to say the least, but over these last few nights, the boys have looked significantly better, and that has me hopeful that this three-game streak can continue. Dare to dream?
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’m using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Winnipeg Jets.

Player Prop:

Evan Bouchard over 2.5 shots at +100. My $5 bet would return $10.00.

Easy Money:

Over 60.5 total shots at -125.  My $5 bet would return $9.00.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +375. My $5 bet would return $23.75.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Edmonton Oilers to win and over 5.5 total goals at +155. My $5 bet would return $12.75.

Last Game

I love beating the Golden Knights while also winning money at the same time. I mean, I didn’t make a fortune or anything — I only went 2/4 on the night — but the important part was that the boys picked up a key victory and my bankroll was more flush when the night ended than when it began. Great success.
Here’s what I bet against the Golden Knights:
  • Evan Bouchard over 2.5 shots on goal at +110. ✅
  • Over 61.5 total shots on goal at -116.
  • Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +375.
  • Oilers to win and over 5.5 total goals at +162. ✅
And there you have it, friends. Now you know what I’m betting on and how I did last game. As always, I put one unit down on each bet. Hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Jets.
It’s also worth noting that betting lines move throughout the day, so that may be the reason why what’s listed above doesn’t match what’s on Betway when you put together your own bets.
