Everybody knows that the Vegas Golden Knights knocked the Oilers out of the second round of the playoffs last spring and went on to win the Stanley Cup. I still maintain that the Oilers lost that series more so than Vegas going out and winning it, but I’m biased, and I don’t pretend to hide it. Tonight marks the first meeting between these two clubs since Game 6 of that second round, and I’m expecting things to get a little bit spicy. On one hand, the Oilers are fighting to get back into the playoff mix, while the Golden Knights have lost seven of their last 10 games. If ever there was a time for a revenge game, it’s right now. And yeah, I know that beating Vegas tonight doesn’t do much to wipe away the pain of losing in the playoffs, but it’s a game the Oilers need to have for both the standings and the spiritual well-being of this comeback attempt.

If you’re following along at home, the odds I’m using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Evan Bouchard over 2.5 shots on goal at +110. My $5 bet would return $10.50.

Over 61.5 total shots on goal at -116. My $5 bet would return $9.34.

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +375.  My $5 bet would return $23.75.

Oilers to win and over 5.5 total goals at +162. My $5 bet would return $13.12.

This was my first betting sweep of the season, and it feels goooooooood. Not only did the Oilers handle their business, but every single bet I put down cashed, which meant that my bankroll was flush once again. It’s been a minute since that happened, and I’m very excited about not only the money but also that the Oilers dominated in a game we all expected them to win.
