Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Seeing as the Oilers are sitting in second to last place in the Pacific Division, the Anaheim Ducks are a team we’re obviously chasing and that makes today’s matchup on the boys have to win. As much as we can talk about this being only the 20th game of the year, time will run out before we know it, and these divisional matchups are ones the Oilers have to win. Unfortunately, we don’t have a whole lot of time for excuses anymore, and the only acceptable result I can see is for Edmonton to extend the Ducks’ losing streak to six games. We cannot be slump busters here, and we cannot assume that beating this team will be easy. So, what does that mean for my game day bets? Cautious optimism is the approach. Frankly, it’s the only plan that makes sense to me given the inconsistencies from night to night, ya know?
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’m using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Anaheim Ducks.

Player Prop:

Leon Draisaitl anytime goal scorer at +100. My $5 bet would return $10.00.

Easy Money:

Over 1.5 total power play goals at -125. My $5 bet would return $9.00.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +275. My $5 bet would return $18.75.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Edmonton Oilers moneyline and over 6.5 total goals at +120. My $5 bet would return $11.00.

RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Last Game

If it wasn’t painful that I lost money, it would almost be hilarious that the Oilers won Friday’s game as convincingly as they did and I only hit 1/4 bets. That’s sports betting, though, my friends. It’s a rollercoaster to say the least.
Here’s what I bet against the Capitals:
  • Connor McDavid to score at +110.
  • Over 6.5 total goals at -115.
  • Edmonton Oilers puck line at +185. ✅
  • Oilers to win in regulation and over 5.5 total goals at +235.
And there you have it, friends. Now you know what I’m betting on and how I did last game. As always, I put one unit down on each bet. Hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Ducks.
It’s also worth noting that betting lines move throughout the day, so that may be the reason why what’s listed above doesn’t match what’s on Betway when you put together your own bets.
