Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
I can’t even begin to describe how badly I want the Oilers to win this game. After the seemingly endless kicks to the pills we endured through the first month of the season, the boys are bouncing back in a very real way and I want the good times to keep rolling. Not to mention, if Edmonton is going to battle its way back into a playoff spot, they’re going to need to find ways to beat good opponents. And with the Devils coming into town on the second half of a back-to-back set, the opportunity is there for the taking, provided that they can keep playing with the same level of urgency and execution. A seventh consecutive win is certainly doable, and I absolutely believe it is coming.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’m using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the New Jersey Devils.

Player Prop:

Connor McDavid to score at +120. My $5 bet would return $11.00.

Easy Money:

Over 63.5 total shots at -116. My $5 bet would return $9.34.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid to register 3+ points at +200. My $5 bet would return $15.00.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Over 6.5 total goals and Leon Draisaitl to register 2+ points. My $5 bet would return $13.12.

RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Last Game

I think when the Oilers win the game and I basically even out on my bets for the night that it’s a pretty solid result overall.
Here’s what I bet against the Wild:
  • Connor McDavid to register 2+ assists at +200.
  • Oilers to register 32+ shots at -110. ✅
  • Zach Hyman and Kirill Kaprizov both to score at +400.
  • Oilers to win and over 5.5 total goals at +120. ✅
And there you have it, friends. Now you know what I’m betting on and how I did last game. As always, I put one unit down on each bet. Hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Devils.
It’s also worth noting that betting lines move throughout the day, so that may be the reason why what’s listed above doesn’t match what’s on Betway when you put together your own bets.
