Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
When I started putting a few nickels down on Oilers games, I knew there would be times when I’d get hot and times when I’d be cold. Outside of Tuesday’s win against Nashville, the boys haven’t been able to generate offence with any kind of consistency, and it’s a problem that needs to change immediately. And with the way the Jets cannot keep the puck out of their own net, is tonight’s matchup just what the doctor ordered? Maybe. It could be. That said, when two teams are struggling the way the Oilers and Jets are right now, it’s nearly impossible to predict how things will go accurately. So, when it comes to my game day bets for the night, I’ll be taking a much more cautious approach than I have been over the first few teams. Instead of entirely betting with my heart, I’m taking a step back and only dipping a toe in the water for once. Do you think it will pay off? Dare to dream.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’m using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Winnipeg Jets.

Player Prop:

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots at +115. My $5 bet would return $10.75.

Easy Money:

Over 63.5 total shots at -118. My $5 bet would return $9.25.

Risky Business:

Leon Draisaitl to register 2+ points at +130. My $5 bet would return $11.50.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Leon Draisaitl to register a goal and an assist at +240. My $5 bet would return $17.00.

RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Last Game

I got absolutely killed on Thursday night. Whatever good vibes I had working for me against Nashville must have disappeared entirely because I didn’t even get a sniff against Philly.
Here’s what I bet against the Flyers:
  • Leon Draisaitl anytime goal scorer at +100.
  • Over 1.5 total power play goals at -143.
  • Evan Bouchard to score at +300.
  • Oilers moneyline and over 5.5 total goals at +105.
And there you have it, friends. Now you know what I’m betting on and how I did last game. As always, I put one unit down on each bet. Hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Jets.
It’s also worth noting that betting lines move throughout the day, so that may be the reason why what’s listed above doesn’t match what’s on Betway when you put together your own bets.
