The Edmonton Oilers came out of the Christmas break with a 2-1 victory over the Calgary Flames. Connor McDavid’s 31st goal of the season was the game-winner and Stuart Skinner made 46 saves to lead the Oilers to the win.

There was a scary moment later in the game as Flames defender MacKenzie Weegar threw a knee-on-knee hit on Connor McDavid…
McDavid got his revenge in the third period, as he sniped the go-ahead goal past Markstrom with a perfect shot on the power play. The goal was McDavid’s 31st of the season, extending his lead in the league’s scoring race…
