Inside the Nation: Keith Gretzky as GM, Strome’s return, and Tobias Rieder’s goal drought

It’s Monday and that means Dustin Nielson is back with another Facebook live video!

The Oilers take on the Rangers tonight so we’ve got another game day Inside the Nation episode for you all! Dusty loves filming on game days as there’s always a ton to talk about. With the Rangers being in town, that means that it’s Ryan Strome’s first game back in Rogers Place since he got traded for Ryan Spooner quite some time ago. Will Strome get a tribute video tonight? How many goals will he get? There are so many questions to be asked with the reunion tonight. Nielson’s positive Strome will pot at least one goal tonight. He’s also positive Tobias Rieder is finally going to end his goal drought tonight as well. Do you think it’s happening soon? I agree with Dusty, I think it’s happening tonight.

Another hot topic discussed on Inside the Nation is the Keith Gretzky dilemma. A lot of msm in Edmonton are pushing Gretzky to become the next Oilers GM, but Dusty gives his take on why he thinks it’s a bad idea for the Oilers, and he tries to be as positive as possible when doing it. For instance, a red flag that some people might view as a bad thing is that no other teams have ever inquired with the Oilers about hiring Keith Gretzky into their management team. But for some reason, he’s on the Oilers list? Why might that be?

Dusty also recapped the loss agains the Leafs on Saturday, and talked about all the good and bad from the game. As always, he wrapped up the Facebook live video by playing some trivia with the audience and giving away a sample pack of Get Sauced hot sauce.
