Most of the Edmonton Oilers have returned to their respective homes as they await direction from the league.
According to TSN’s Ryan Rishaug, those players include Connor McDavid and Darnell Nurse.
“Players have been told to treat this time as the off-season in case there is a compacted playoff, followed by a new season,” Rishaug tweeted.

McDavid and Nurse are following suit with many other NHL’ers who’ve returned to their respective homes around the world.
For them to head back home suggests to me that we’re still a ways away from seeing any kind of hockey anytime soon. I have a hard time seeing any form of hockey coming back this summer unless serious progress is made in the fight against COVID-19.
