The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day. All bets are for one unit unless otherwise noted.
Our bet of the day will be taking Matthew Tkachuk to score a goal. These odds sit at +140.
After failing to find twine in five games against the Toronto Maple Leafs, look for Matthew Tkachuk to score tonight. While I’m expecting this to be a tight series both ways, Tkachuk scored 40 goals in the regular season and had five in seven games against the Bruins in the first round.
After going scoreless on 13 shots in the second round, I’m expecting those numbers to regress to the mean sooner rather than later and a goal tonight would get him a shade closer to the 13.2 career average shooting percentage he’s had in his 510 games.
On top of that, we’re going to add the Panthers to win this series against Carolina. These odds sit at +120.
As I mentioned yesterday in my conference finals betting preview, I think these are going to be two tight series. But that being said, I’ve hit on the Panthers to beat both the Bruins and the Leafs so far these playoffs, so let’s stick with them to keep rolling here.
