The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day. All bets are for one unit unless otherwise noted.
I can’t say I’m a fan of how this postseason has gone from a betting perspective. In the second-round series bets, I went just 1/4 only hitting on the Florida Panthers beating the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Let’s see if we can find some conference finals action to get in on.
Our bet of the day will be taking both series to go over 5.5 games. These odds sit at +125.
In order to place this bet, you need to add over 5.5 games for both series to your bet slip and bet them as a double.
We’re at a point in the season here where the margins are razor-thin. All four teams that remain in the conference finals belong there and I have a hard time finding any particular edge one team might have over another.
I don’t mind Dallas at plus-money, but Jake Oettinger has had some struggles this post-season and Vegas is on a high after eliminating the Edmonton Oilers in six games.
Florida, meanwhile, is a team I’ve bet on all the way and won every time, but they haven’t faced a stingy defensive team like the Hurricanes in these playoffs. Despite going 1-2 against Florida in the regular season, Carolina absolutely dominated play at 5×5.
