The Edmonton Oilers went toe-to-toe with the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night; however, a piece of magic from Nathan MacKinnon late into the overtime period proved to be the difference. Edmonton lost 3-2 but still hold firmly onto second in the Pacific Division and even tightened the gap over the Vancouver Canucks to six points with three games in hand.
What did you think of Saturday’s game versus the Colorado Avalanche? Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live for Oilersnation Everyday on the Oilersnation YouTube channel at noon. Want to have your thoughts heard? Leave your questions, comments and concerns about the Oilers in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat. Throughout the show, Tyler and Liam will interact with you and make you apart of the show.
Also, Warren Foegele is having a fantastic year as he heads into unrestricted free agency. He has found a groove with Leon Draisaitl on the second line, which few have been able to do. With that said, should the Oilers consider bringing him back? The market for players in his position is not great and you know what you have in Foegele. The big question is how much will he demand. Tyler and Liam will debate Foegele’s future later on in the show.
Earlier today, the Edmonton Oilers signed Connor Unger from Brock University. Who is Unger? The guys will get you familiar with the Oilers latest prospect signing and where he fits in the organizations depth charts.
