The NHL is back in action with three games on the slate. Unfortunately, for us Edmonton Oilers fans, we will have to wait one more day before cheering on the Copper and Blue.
Tonight, the world will see Connor Bedard play his first career NHL game,, going up against Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins. On top of that, the Tampa Bay Lightning go head-to-head with the Nashville Predators and then to close out the night, the LA Kings face the Vegas Golden Knights, the current Stanley Cup champions. Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will preview those three games on this episode of Oilersnation Everyday.
In anticipation of the start of the regular season, the two of them will give their hot takes for the 2023/24 season. They will have three each, and they encourage you to play along at home. Head over to the Oilersnation YouTube channel, hit subscribe, and then interact with Tyler and Liam in the live chat during the show.
Midway through the show, former NHL goaltender Carter Hutton joins them. Hutton played 234 regular season NHL games split between the Chicago Blackhawks, Nashville Predators, Buffalo Sabres and the Arizona Coyotes. The guys will ask Hutton about his expectations for Jack Campbell and Stuart Skinner as the two of them look to become a more complete tandem. Furthermore, Hutton will join in with his hot takes for the upcoming season.
Finally, Ken Holland made his final roster moves over the weekend, and people were not happy. Raphael Lavoie, Ben Gleason and Lane Pederson were put on waivers and all cleared, but is it the right idea to send them all done? That topic, along with everything else mentioned and more, will be discussed on today’s episode of Oilersnation Everyday.
