Oilersnation Everyday: Taking on the Seattle Kraken

The Edmonton Oilers welcome the Seattle Kraken to Rogers Place tonight for their second matchup in five days. On Saturday night, the Oilers beat the Kraken 4-1 on the road, with help from a Zach Hyman hat trick. Stuart Skinner had his best game of the season, posting a 0.944 save percentage. However, despite the win, Jay Woodcroft and Dave Manson were relieved of their coaching duties the following day, which left a bitter taste in fans’ mouths about the organization.

Now that Woodcroft is gone as the head coach, the Kris Knoblauch era began on Monday night versus the New York Islanders with a 4-1 win. Tonight, they will look for a similar; however, they will be without Dylan Holloway, who is now out long-term with a knee injury.

Some good news on the injury is that Connor Brown will likely return tonight. Brown has been out since the Oilers lost 4-3 to the Dallas Stars. Fans have mixed reviews about Brown, but with Knoblauch now behind the bench, it’s a new start for everyone.
