Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Edmonton Oilers @ Vancouver Canucks

Last night may have been the most disappointing loss of the season for the @Edmonton Oilers. Returning home and playing in a nationally televised game against a division rival, the Oilers laid an egg. They simply did not play very well. Now, the task gets even tougher as they’ll need a road victory to salvage the split in their home and home.
It’s far from the end of the world for the Oilers. They’re without their third-best player and they’re still leading the division but, a loss tonight really tightens the gap between them and the Canucks. The good news for the Oilers is that they’ll get to start their number one goalie tonight. @Mike Smith got the start last night so @Mikko Koskinen will be between the pipes for the Oilers.
The Oilers came out flat in front of their home crowd and that performance shouldn’t sit well in the room. @Leon Draisaitl also failed to register a point for the second straight game, which is just the second time this season that has happened. Simply put: we should see a very motivated Oilers team tonight.
