Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast: Edmonton Oilers vs Minnesota Wild

The Oilers will wrap up their quick two-game homestand tonight as they host the @Minnesota Wild from Rogers Place. Despite some positive progress in his recovery, @Connor McDavid will not be in the lineup tonight but considering how well they’ve played in the five games without him, the Oilers shouldn’t be too phased by that news. Dave Tippett is likely going to roll with the same lineup that stole a point against the Bruins.
The Oilers have had a winning record against the Wild in back-to-back seasons but they did drop their first two meetings of the season with Minnesota back in October and December. The Wild have been a very poor road team this season while the Oilers have a record of 15-9-2 on home ice. If the Oilers do win tonight, their special teams will likely be a very big reason why. Their powerplay has continued its solid production, even with key players out of the lineup, and their penalty kill has only allowed one goal in their last ten games. The Wild have an average powerplay and a very poor penalty kill.
I broke down the whole matchup in the Pre Game Podcast (pres. by YEG Burger)! Download it directly from the link in the article or by heading to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Google Play!
