Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Edmonton Oilers vs Ottawa Senators

Despite missing a handful of regulars due to injury, the Oilers found a way to gut out a victory on Sunday night in Vancouver. It was a big win over a divisional opponent that is sitting just outside of the playoff picture and it allowed the Oilers to stay on top of the Pacific Division. Tonight, they welcome the @Ottawa Senators to Rogers Place.
The Oilers will still be without @Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and @Zack Kassian tonight, which are massive blows. One thing working in the Oiler’s favour is that the Senators are, quite frankly, pretty bad. They’re 29th in the NHL with just 11 wins in 27 games. At the same time, Edmonton has lost to Detroit, Minnesota, and LA already this season, so this game is still far from a slam dunk.
They’ll need to play a solid game but still, getting a chance to go up against a basement-dwelling team like the Senators on home ice is an opportunity the Oilers cannot afford to fumble, especially with the playoff race in the Western Conference starting to tighten up.
All the stats, notes, and audio you need for tonight’s game are in the Pre Game Podcast (pres. by YEG Burger) which you can download right here in the article or by heading to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Google Play!
