Another Friday has landed on your calendar and that means the boys are back with a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to help make sense of all things Edmonton Oilers. On today’s podcast, we’re talking about Wednesday’s win over Dallas, the Nation Christmas party, and a whole lot more.
Kicking off today’s podcast, we got started with a look at the Oilers Christmas wish list and what we would ask Santa to bring our beloved squadron. Whether it’s some confidence for the depth players, health elixirs to keep everyone healthy, or an upgraded PK, the guys had plenty of ideas on how this team can be improved. From there, we previewed tonight’s matchup against the Vancouver Canucks and how this is a game that they should win provided that can give us another performance as we saw against the Stars on Wednesday. Even though this should be a winnable game for the Oilers, the Canucks will be playing their third-string goaltender and should be tired after a big win last night against the Kraken. For all of us on the podcast, we think this is a game that the team should win, but we were also nervous about that happening given this is one of those kinds of matchups that the Oilers have punted historically. And since it’s Festivus, we spent the next few minutes airing out our grievances and sharing our favourite feats of strength from the last 12 months. Lastly, we wrapped up the podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers to make sense of the last few days.
