Oilersnation Radio: Closing Time for the Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers have the opportunity to close out the Los Angeles Kings tomorrow night at Crypto.com Arena in Game 6, which means we’ve got plenty to talk about on the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio.

To kick off the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio, we got started with a guess at who could be the unsung hero for the Oilers in Game 6 and why we think that player will be the one to step up. Whether it’s Mattias Ekholm coming up with a clutch goal, Kailer Yamamoto making an appearance on the stat sheet, or Warren Foegele finding redemption after the physical abuse he took on Tuesday in Game 5, there are plenty of options for Oilers that could step up with a depth marker. From there, we looked at the video that every Oilers fan was talking about from yesterday after TSN’s Ryan Rishaug posted a video that made Connor McDavid look like he’s injured. While we all agreed that he’s probably hurt a little bit, the reason none of us believe he’s injured is the fact that he’s still practicing. If you remember last year’s playoffs, neither Draisaitl nor Nurse practiced at all because of their injuries, which makes us feel that we’re probably making too much of a deal about the video. Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers to make some sense of what’s going on around us.
