It’s a wonderful Friday afternoon and that means a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio is here, edited into a masterpiece, and ready to stimulate your ear feelings as you head into the weekend. This week, we looked at training camp updates, line combinations, bold predictions, and welcomed Brody Schnarr from OwnersBox to teach us a little bit about fantasy hockey.
Kicking things off, we got started with a look at some bold predictions for the Edmonton Oilers as we approach the start of the 2021 season. Whether it’s point predictions for specific players or how well the team as a whole will perform in the standings, we offered up our hottest takes for the upcoming season and as the segment went on, it was very clear to me that everyone is really drinking the Kool-Aid right now. Part of that conversation also included some goal predictions for Jesse Puljujarvi in his first season back from Finland, including some of us trying to temper expectations for the kid while others are expecting big things. Sticking with training camp, we looked at some of the line combinations that Dave Tippett is running with early on and whether any of these trios are at all surprising. Should Nuge be with McDavid or Draisaitl? Does Kahun fit well with Draisaitl? Are the defensive pairings properly put together? A big part of another NHL season is the start of fantasy hockey leagues, and we were thrilled to welcome Brody Schnarr from OwnersBox to teach us about their platform while also offering up some tips for success on the upcoming season.
