Oilersnation Radio Episode 133 – NHL Trade Deadline Recap and Hockey Hypotheticals

Happy Friday, everybody! As we do every week, we’ve got a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to offer you all of the hottest Oilers takes and news you could ever hope to hear as we head into the weekend. This week, we’re looking back at the trade deadline, another COVID delay, tomorrow’s game against the Jets, and a whole lot more.
Kicking off today’s episode, we jumped in with a look at the Oilers roster and specifically which guy needs to get going before the playoffs. Seeing as there are a few guys that could really stand to get going, it was interesting to hear the guys’ takes on who needs to step it up. From there, we got into what was a very quiet trade deadline for Ken Holland and did our best to break down everything that did and did not happen. One trade that did go through was picking up defenceman Dmitry Kulikov from the NJ Devils and that made us all wonder where Dave Tippett will play him and who with? Next up, we ran through some schedule changes as the NHL continues to hang onto the dream of having every team play a 56-game season despite how unlikely that’s starting to look. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s podcast with a preview of tomorrow night’s game against the Winnipeg Jets.
