Oilersnation Radio Episode 170 – The Sky is Falling and the Snakebite is Real

It’s Friday afternoon and that means a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio is here to help you finish off your week with an hour of all things Edmonton Oilers. On this week’s show, we looked at the Oilers’ four-game losing streak, firing Dave Tippett, Ethan Bear’s return, and a whole lot more.

To kick off this week’s podcast, we kicked things off with the biggest issue the Oilers are having right now. Whether it was depth scoring, line combos, or brutal starts, there is a laundry list of problems right now that needed to get sorted out. From there, we dove into the #FireTippett movement that’s going on amongst a growing chunk of the fanbase that is fed up with him for one reason or another. While I don’t think there’s any chance that the Oilers fire the coach right now, that hasn’t stopped the chatter from getting louder and louder. Changing gears, we looked at the Ethan Bear interview he did with DNB from The Athletic that dropped today, and how it’s upsetting to hear former players say that they were getting no support while they were here. We also discussed how his return will likely kick a hornet’s nest with the folks that hated and continue to hate the trade that sent him out of town. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers to recap what was a very busy week here in Edmonton.
